What kind of yoga do I offer?
My style of yoga is about being gentle, healing our bodies and hearts and remembering our wisdom.
We will have fun and you will do what is enjoyable for you - always.
I love variety, so no class is the same. You will not feel like an outsider who doesn’t know the sequence.
The schedule is currently offering: Hips & Heart, Super Chill, Yin and Yin + Restorative

- Flow. This is continuous movement - the most physical practice. It is fun. It can be sweaty
- Hips & Heart: a practice that will leave you feeling stretched and open. We flow and we pause in delicious hip and heart poses.
- Super Chill: everyone’s favourite! Yin and a bit of gentle movement. Really really de-stressing. I have heard more than once: “I feel like I’ve had a massage”!
- Yin: Is a very quiet practice. I do not talk much. The poses are held for 3-5 minutes. These are gentle poses, we are working in the plastic tissues. This class helps your joints stay lubricated!
- Stress management: We de-stress in this practice with Yoga Nidra. This is a guided relaxation practice. It helps promote deep rest in the body and mind. Your nervous system rebalances and you leave feeling refreshed and calm. It is like a day at the spa!
- Yin + Restorative: a relaxation practice combining yin and a few poses using lots of pops to support the body so that it can passively stretch, release tension (physical and emotional) and heal.
What class should I start with?

Props you need & where to get them.
I would recommend a mat, a couple of blocks, a strap and a blanket.
The yin and yin + restorative classes make use of a bolster but if you do not have one you can use pillows and folder towels or blankets.

Blocks - I like cork - they are sturdier than the foam ones. Get two if you can.
Strap - try to get one with a buckle and long enough for your height so that you can loop it over your foot and lie back with your leg up in the air without stretching your arms. Bolster - I like halfmoon - a regular bolster will do. I have also seen a few ladies with this brand from amazon that is light to carry. |
